The Maasai Adult Literacy Program is off to a great start. We are the biggest adult literacy program in the Narok District located in Kenya. We currently have 105 students enrolled in the program. They are undergoing phase I which is the basic literacy training component of the program. They will merge into Phase II by fall 2002. Phase II is the vocational training portion of program. We would like to thank the Cottonwood Foundation for giving us a grant for $1,000 to begin our program. We would like to welcome Kelvin and Tumpes our new literacy teachers.
